Staining caused by trauma is very deep within the dentin and among the most difficult to remove. **How can we whiten a traumatised tooth?** **There are numbers of bleaching techniques:** - Single Tooth Bleaching Tray: The patient can be given a single tooth bleaching tray, which requires one syringe of bleaching materials and applies it only to the single dark tooth mould with the appliance. - In-office bleaching: An in-office whitening treatment provides powerful whitening results that can whiten a single dark tooth in an hour or less. Your dentist will place the powerful whitening gel on the exterior of the tooth and whiten until it matches your other teeth. - Walking Bleach Technique: The "walking bleach" technique evolved from the original in-office technique, allowing for a shorter in-office whitening treatment. In this two-appointment procedure, the whitening material is placed inside your tooth. Your dentist will create space in the tooth, place the whitening material, then seal it in. After 3–5 days, you'll return to your dentist's office to have the material removed and reapplied if your tooth hasn't become quite as white as you'd like. - Inside-outside bleaching: Inside-outside bleaching is one of the best options for whitening a single dark tooth. It uses a combination of custom tray whitening and the walking bleach method, both described above. With whitening gel placed inside the tooth as well as on the outside with the single-tooth tray, your dark tooth gets a double dose of whitening to allow the tooth to reach its maximum whiteness. **Opalescence Endo – Walking Bleach Technique** Opalescence Endo is a specially formulated 35% hydrogen peroxide whitening gel to whiten discoloured teeth using the “walking bleach” technique. Once Opalescence Endo is delivered to the pulp chamber, it should be sealed with a temporary cement, and left in the tooth for three to five days. - 35% hydrogen peroxide - Easy to place inside pulp chamber - Three- to five-day treatment    ![](http://www.gunz.com.au/files/images/Screen%20Shot%202017-11-14%20at%203.07.59%20PM.png) [**Check out our exclusive whitening season special bundle offers**](http://gunz.onlineordering.com.au/Public/Search?qs=bundle)  Reference: [https://www.ultradent.com/au/Dental-Products-Supplies/Tooth-Whitening/specialty-whitening/Opalescence-Endo-Walking-Bleach-Technique/Pages/default.aspx?sku=1323-AU](https://www.ultradent.com/au/Dental-Products-Supplies/Tooth-Whitening/specialty-whitening/Opalescence-Endo-Walking-Bleach-Technique/Pages/default.aspx?sku=1323-AU) Reference: [http://scdaannualsession.com/speakers/docs/Van%20Haywood\_2010%20Single%20Dark%20Tooth%](http://scdaannualsession.com/speakers/docs/Van%20Haywood_2010%20Single%20Dark%20Tooth%20Bleaching.PDF) ### Type Of Content - [Articles (52)](https://info.gunz.com.au/blog/topic/articles) - [Product News (37)](https://info.gunz.com.au/blog/topic/product-news) - [Profitable Practice Partners (35)](https://info.gunz.com.au/blog/topic/profitable-practice-partners) ### Recent Posts ### Topics - [Chris Dillow.
